Ryuen always hated walking through the forest to get to little river where he always enjoyed bathing. The passageway was too dark and he felt as if he was being watched but then again the time he spent in the river bathing and thinking about nothing had been pure bliss. It was the only pass time that could bring him instant happiness not to say that being a monk was horrible but he couldn’t stand to see how the other monks looked at him in pure hatred and disgust.

He had felt so incredibly free in the river.

Ryuen was so lost in his thoughts that he failed to see the predator moving closer to him.

Grave didn’t expect to see such a beauty in the forest at this time of night. He thought this night was going to be another useless raid at the temple but it seemed that fate was smiling at him.

He didn’t care about the loot they would find in the temple all he wanted was this beautiful creature standing a few feet away from him.

“Perhaps I should just quit being a monk and live my life as freely as I want.” Ryuen spoke to no one in particular. He knew no one would miss him and perhaps even forget about him completely. It hurt to think about it but he couldn’t keep living in the temple it just wasn’t what he wanted at all.

This time he heard the snapping twigs and turned around quickly just in time to see a dark figure tackle him to the ground.

He started trashing around relentlessly and hoped that someone would come and help him, although that was probably next to impossible.

“Let go of me!” He couldn’t really see anything in the dark but he was sure this was one of the thieves that everybody was talking about. The one’s who kept stealing from the temple.

“Calm down I’m not going to do anything to you.” Grave put his face closer to Ryuen and continued to stare at the odd but beautiful markings on his face. He couldn’t help but bring his hand and trace the patterns delicately on the young monk’s face.

“Beautiful.”

Ryuen was starting to panic how could the thief possibly think that he would calm down and relax. He was probably going to die tonight!

He felt completely uncomfortable as the man continued to caress his face. He always hated the markings on his face, it made him feel ugly. He had always them because he was ashamed. The thief didn’t seem to look disgusted like the monks in the temple instead he looked…completely entranced by it.

He looked away quickly to the other side to hide his face. He couldn’t stand someone looking at him.

Grave furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and made Ryuen look at him. Ryuen continued to look at him helplessly until Grave brought his face even closer and kissed him.

“It's a shame to think that you feel the need to hide this from me but it doesn't matter because from now on you're mine.”
