Ah. The Opera House. How disturbingly comforting unexpected.
Seems like others I was permitted a vacation, of sorts. I somehow sense I am not reaping all the benefits of such a supposed trip, however. If I'd know it was a break I would have spent it sleeping.
Still, it would appear little has altered in my short absence - the network is still operational so the City has not combusted, judging by the noise around here they have not vanished either.
It's a guilty kind of relief.
Short though the break was it seems to have been enough to restore my energy for at least a short while. Work is unrelenting and the cycle must continue again. Hospital work must have piled up and no doubt I'll need to reassess the club's budget, but these are simple, regular things. Since being here I have found myself becoming rather accustomed to them. I dare say I almost missed the additional structure to the day.
However, not the lack of sleep.
