Ficlets for the fun of it

In an attempt to revive our muses, Tiamat1972 challenged me to toss some prompts her way and then answer some back. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy writing prompts, even though some of the endings may not make sense.

I can't wait to finish SC so I can get back to actual writing.

Prompts are character/verse/prompt

Mininote: It actually took me a few minutes to realize Tia meant my Sticky Situations verse. XD I was all set to write about sticky paint.

Sunstreaker/Sticky/Paint
Nothing existed in his world except the canvas in front of him. He paid no attention to the model straining to hold her awkward position, or even his brother pressed close to her naked frame. He only saw the paint that he had yet to lay down. He smelled it and felt the specks of its smooth texture on his fingers. His optics moved from mixing the paint on his palette to applying to his canvas. With this paint he would make the two before him almost equal to his own beauty. For only through his paint could they ever hope to achieve that.

Mininote: I might tweak the ending of this piece sometime in the future. Oh, and total prompt fail.

Hound/Mirage/G1/Foreplay
Hound sat beside Mirage, trying to subtly lean toward the blue mech and inhale the rich waxy aroma that always accompanied him off duty. He thought the fragrance alluring, and arousing and wanted nothing more than to pounce the source of the delicious scent. But he didn't want to disgust the former noble with his 'uncounth' behavior.

Mirage sat beside Hound, his armor buffed and polished to a bright shine. He didn't say anything as the green mech leaned into his personal field, and sniffed at him like some earthly pet. He wanted to turn around and smother the mech in kisses. But he didn't want to frighten the common model into thinking he'd just use and toss him away.

Mininote: Probably my favorite of this batch.

Sideswipe/Gwen/AU/Underwear

"What is this?"

Gwen choked  and tried to snatch the piece of fabric away, but the irksome robot moved faster than his size would indicate. Dammit. She knew this was a bad idea. Stupid Brad. He just had to toss in those clunky oversized boots when he knew the dryer was on the fritz. Doing her laundry should never be this much of a headache. "Give those back, Side. Right now."

Sideswipe wielded his talent of being selectively deaf and pinched the fabric between his oversized fingers, stretching it in front of his optics. "But I just want to know what it is. I've never seen this before, even though you've got all your other coverings in the basket."

Gwen clenched her hand on the basket against her hip and glared up at Sideswie. "They're personal. And none of your business. Give them back."

Sideswipe's optics winked on and off as he peered down at her. "Why are you referring to it in the plural?"

Gwen ground her teeth and swore she would wind up hurting somebody by the end of the day.

Mininote: Tia says this is revenge for Prowl for what he's going through in SC. XD

Starscream/Prowl/SG/Bondage

Starscream spiraled out of control, his sensors unable to calibrate at the speed he'd been going. He did his best to aim where he would cause the least damage to any innocent civilians. He didn't remember his landing, and, when he was conscious enough to do so, he was grateful for that fact. He tried to transform, but the systems only responded sluggishly and he got just one of his hands free of his jet mode.

It took a few astroseconds for him to recognize the thrum in his audio receivers as more than just damage feedback.

Mag plates.

Oh slag, that was an Autobot coming to investigate.

Starscream grunted with the effort of forcing his transformation. To no avail. He couldn't even get a response from his  booster rockets. Fragfragfrag! He couldn't read the energy signature with his damaged sensors, but still received information from his flight sensors (he already had a processor ache from the constant 'Crash Imminent! Alter Course!' pinging around his HUD, and he couldn't stop it either).

When the vehicle came into range of his sensors, Starscream yelped and slapped at the ground with his one free hand. Not that one! Not that one! He'd rather face Optimus Prime himself over his sadistic, malicious XO.

Prowl slid to a stop and transformed. No expression touched his face, but his body fairly vibrated with excitement.

"It would appear that you require more flight lessons, Air Commander.  Perhaps you forgot which way was up?" An expression finally touched the Autobot's face, a curling sneer of his lips; amusement, contempt all wrapped up in one.

Starscream snarled a reply back, letting the words flow out of his vocalizer without thinking too much of their meaning. He couldn't move, except for that one slagging useless arm, and defiance would be his only other shield against what was to come. He couldn't fight it, and his communicator had been slagged in the crash. Fraggit!

Mininote: Even though only Prowl is listed in the prompt, I couldn't resist making this about my favorite pairing. Except in this verse, Sideswipe, while interested, is a tad intimidated by Prowl. For reason: see below.

Prowl/G1/Ex-Lovers
Prowl and Ultra Magnus exchanged a few words over a cube until Magnus moved off to speak with one of his errant team members. Prowl continued his work, his cube ignored. Until Ratchet approached him. Then he lifted the cube and spoke with Ratchet. Ratchet had only just left when Jazz mosied up to the XO and laughed at something or other the tactician had said. Prowl looked none-too amused and shooed the saboteur off. Then Firestar sat down and...

Sideswipe thunked his head against the table, whimpering miserably to himself. Sunstreaker leaned on his elbow, not even looking where his brother's attention had been.

He idly sipped at his cube, watching the rest of the room. "They still at it?"

Sideswipe didn't answer, unless you counted the miserable whimper that came out from somewhere under his arm.

"You don't seriously think they're all..."

Sideswipe made another noise that somehow conveyed his certainty.

Sunstreaker spared his brother a glane. "Hmph. Well, at least he hasn't talked to Prime, yet?"

Sideswipe lifted his head to glare at the yellow mech. "Frag off."

Sunstreaker shrugged and decided not to mention that Optimus was talking to Prowl just then. He could be a nice brother sometimes, see?
