I'm going to try, too. I'll be suprised if I get much beyond a few thousand words, but I do have the beginnings of an idea and also will have two weeks of vacation next month, which might help or hurt. I've always wanted to try to write a novel but have never actually tried. Progress will be noted on my blog as well. Chuck (Janil).

Chuck --

Through my writer's group, I've got a bunch of resources that might help you flesh out your ideas and get ready to start speed-drafting. If you'd like to take a look at them, I can certainly pass them on.

I bet you get past a few thousand words. :)
