That's so amazing!! Good for you. There are a lot of kids at the school I work at who are on the spectrum and so I know how astounding those improvements can be.
I feel the same way often when I'm working with my 1-1 kid, he's made so many strides in all aspects of his functioning - with his motor planning, endurance, academic stuff, but especially socially. Last year he would not talk to anyone but his teachers, and would make no attempts at socializing with his peers whatsoever. This year he has made 6 or 7 new friends in the class that he talks to regularly without modeling or assistance from me. I've been working so so hard with him on that goal all year long and it's so fantastic to see because I can't help but think that I'm partially responsible.
