I don't know if this is the proper place but, I felt a strong urge to start a discussion in this community especially with the release on the full 11th chapter of Demian Syndrome which, I believe, really brought out the "oki mamiya-ness" of the story.
To start with, the last chapter was really a turning point in the manga; a lot of things were revealed about Azuma and, the plot in general. However, what struck me the most is the last part regarding the determination of Jou to "prove himself". This seems to be a spiritual growth in the part of Jou as what one of the central theme of Demain (the original novel) is (please correct me if I'm wrong). Further more this exemplifies a deep bond of the two people (it's not merely puppy love or friendship, it's something deeper).
In any case, I'd appreciate it if anyone who read the actual novel give some input/feedback/thoughts.
