I finished it!

It was May 2017, and the Holy Britannian Empire found itself at war with Japan for the first time in over seven years. The attempted establishment of the Special Administrative Zone only served to enrage rather than placate the Japanese people; in the aftermath of Princess Euphemia's massacre, they demanded Britannian blood as compensation, and they would not rest until that demand was met.

The incident was enough to convince the few remaining independent resistance movements to rally under the banner of the Black Knights at last; now under a unified command and with a single objective in mind, they rose up all over Japan and struck back at the Britannian oppressors with a vengeance.

Viceroy Cornelia li Britannia was the first person who would avenge her sister’s death at all costs. Nothing could stop her from killing the person who made that happen. A villain known by only one name, Zero.

Guilford, her knight, had worried about his princess greatly. It had only been a couple days after she had locked herself up into her room after her sister’s death. The only thing he wanted to see was her smiling again.

“Princess, you are in no condition to be doing this.” He tried reasoning with her but she was always stubborn, as she was when they were kids. “I’m worried you are going to push yourself to your limits.”

“Guilford, get out of my way!” Her voice sounded firm, as she felt she couldn’t scold him for his actions. “I have a reason for avenging my sister.”

“Do you think Princess Euphemia would want this to happen? She isn’t the kind of person who would want you to avenge her!” He couldn’t bear having her die in battle just by vengeance. “Please, my princess, I beg you to stay behind and let me go into battle for you.”

“No. I couldn’t forgive myself if you were to perish in battle as my sister did.” She frowned at the thought of losing her knight. “Please, stay and wait for my return.”

“But… princess! I can’t afford losing you in battle either.” He grabbed her gloved hand and locked his fingers between hers. “Let me go and you can rest. It is my only request for you, your highness.”

“Alright but please, my knight, I order you to come back to me alive.” She smiled at him even though she felt a deep rip in her heart. “I can’t bear losing you.”

“I know. I promise I shall return to you, my princess.” He watched her walk away only to frown. “I think you’re forgetting one thing.”

Cornelia turned and placed her lips against his with a smooth delicate kiss. This was to be his good luck kiss which would keep him safe. However, she still couldn't bear letting go of him as he parted her.

“I’ll think of you in battle, my beloved princess.” He replied to her before climbing into his knightmare frame.

Cornelia returned to her throne and did her best to stay serious. It was hard to imagine letting her knight go into battle for her. The two of them shared a close bond since they were just six years old.

“Your highness…” He called to her over his communication panel. “I still have one request before I part into battle.”

Cornelia watched him pop-up on the large screen. He was getting ready to launch into battle and wanted to see her face. There were a few words he had to say to her that she needed to hear.

“Guilford, we don’t have time for things like this.” She replied coldly towards him. “Can you not wait until your return?”

“Princess, my love… just let me say these words to you.” He tried his best to be quick with what he was about to say to her. “I love you.”

Cornelia couldn’t help but let her cheeks turn a bright red. His words stuck to her heart as his smile made her melt into pieces. Those words had almost brought tears into her eyes as he departed to battle.

“Princess, you must learn to grow up.” Darlton replied coldly towards her. “We are in a war right now and have no time for romance.”

“I am aware of the consequences toward romance, Darlton.” She scowled at him. “However, I can assure you that it’s not going to get in the way of our battle status.”

“But milady, you can’t expect him to survive all the time. If he dies, you’ll be in an even worse condition than you are over your sister’s death.” He replied to her. “We can’t have you locking yourself into your room again.”

“Darlton! That is enough nonsense out of you! I will not have you judging my relationship towards my knight.” Her words had silenced him from speaking another word. “You have no business interfering with my personal affairs.”

Cornelia only worried more about her knight and often found herself calling his name to make sure he was still alive. He knew she was filled with concern for him, as he heard her was voice filled with constant worry.

“Princess, you must not worry. I promised you that I will not let you down.” He told her over the panel. “I love you always, my beloved princess.”

"That's possibly one of the most stupid things you could say directly to her, Guilford! Your feelings for her are obviously clouding your judgment; if you're going to make a mistake like this, imagine what will happen if you're out on the battlefield!" He finally replied to Guilford.

“Darlton. I told you to hold that tongue of yours.” She scolded him. “You are not to speak to him like that as long as I am here.”

“But princess…” He stopped his trail of speech before she grew more cross. “Yes, your highness.”

“My knight, I await your return.” She watched him smile which seemed to touch her heart. “You must survive for me.”

“I will come back to you in one piece.” He clicked off the communication panel and proceeded into battle.

It wasn’t long before he returned to her and in one piece as he promised. Cornelia placed her arms around his neck as she stared into his deep blue eyes. He could see the relief of his survival in her light silver purple eyes.

Guilford placed his arms around her waist as his lips met with hers. Their loved couldn’t be measured just by how they said it to each other. It was as if they had more devotion and adoration towards each other to know they would always come back safely.

“Princess, my love…” He started to say as his lips pulled away. “You have not forgotten what I said, have you?”

“I have not and…” She smiled for the first time, ever since the death of her beloved sister. “I love you always, as well, my knight in shining armor.”

“It’s been so long since I’ve seen you smile.” He gently stroked her cheek with his thumb and smiled back. “I’m glad you are finally returning to your old self.”

Cornelia placed her cheek against his broad chest. He cradled her warmly in his arms while resting his head on top of hers. She could feel his hand running over her back as he kissed the top of her head.

“Do you remember how we met?” She smiled as her eyes met his. “I admit at first it wasn’t the best thing I would have done.”

“It’s something I could never forget, my dear princess.” He smiled as he pressed his lips firmly against hers. “If I hadn’t shown you how loyal I was to you, we might have never gotten this far.”

Cornelia’s lips met his with a deep french kiss, lasting almost a few seconds. He wrapped his arms tighter around as they made out. She pulled her lips away as they left a purple mark against his own.

To be continued…

I didn't do most of it... I had help from my friend, Jack, who has a much better vocabulary than me. I'm surprised I was still able to include their distinct way of speaking. XD

Also, the reason for Guilford's concern was because he knew she was still grieving over her sister's death. He didn't want that to destroy her in battle. I know that isn't REALLY what happened but... remember this is not like the anime, only a few of the facts are right.
