So we moved to Florida for a couple of reasons: we didn't like Atlanta, we wanted to be near water (we are both water signs and grew up near water), we wanted to be near family and we didn't like Atlanta ( Read more... )

Ooh, the dog track sounds like fun! I went to the one in Alabama with my dad a couple of times. At first I thought it would be massively lame but then I figured out it was all about getting DRUNK and watching the cute little doggies run round and round...

Sorry you're seeing bits of Atlanta hustle down that way. :-/

Why no more small font?

Yes, the dog track is fun. And you got the steez, have drinks, watch people and dogs and chit chat. And come up with some logic to make bets.

I forgot about the small font, its back now. :)

Funny, I'm one of the wise from Jax that moved to Atlanta. Born and raised in Jax and the best time I had there was when I lived at the beach. Good choice, hopefully you've discovered Al's.

Yes, I am a pizza hound and have definitely discovered Al's. I like it enough that I haven't tried any others yet. In Atlanta my favorite Savage in Little Five Points.

Sharon said a number of people she meets at work want to live in Atlanta. And apparently there are quite a few people here who are from Atlanta. Go figure.

Nice meeting yah!

Is Fly's Tie at the beach? Is it off Atlantic on a little side street?

Yes it is. I can never remember the name of the actual street but it's across from Aqua East facing the parking lot of the movie theater. It's a small stand alone building that is obviously an Irish Pub, seeing as it's St Pats. a large tent should be attached to the side of it. Best pint of Guinness in the city.

My Pisces from Jacksonville friend jpbass2000 says that the Fly's Tie is "one of the best Irish pubs he's ever been to"...

I get ya. I ignored the signs (pun intended) until I was about 29. Leading up to that I began to notice I wrote a lot of birthday cards in late October and November (Scorpio) and that Gemini women were particularly alluring and frustrating at the same time.

I stopped reading my horoscope a few years ago because I wanted my life back. I prefer free will. But I do check every now and then when it comes to compatibility. It is very helpful in that respect. Just another tool/meter when meeting someone.
