Lilah: It’s been about two years since Lindsey left the firm and LA. Since then my life’s been slightly more interesting, I got Lindsey’s old office a new annoying as hell rival in the form of Gavin Parks, and a new assignment. My new assignment was to seduce and sleep with Angel, the senior partners wanted him to have a ‘Perfect happiness’ moment with me and turn him into Angelus. It didn’t work though. I thought after it failed that would be where it ended, but it’s been a few months now and I’m still sleeping with Angel and on occasion letting him drink from me too.
I was just coming home from another night of ‘work’, now normally I’d be coming home to an empty parking space and apartment, but tonight wasn’t one of those nights.
Lindsey: When I heard about it, I nearly lost my mind. Lilah was sleeping with Angel? Angel, who couldn't exactly even get a happy without going all Angelus again? Of course, part of me was amused when I realized that she couldn't give him a moment of pure happiness, but I was still mostly pissed off.
I was waiting in Lilah's parking space for her when she came home from what I assume was another night of being with him. "Never thought I'd see the day," I muttered.
Lilah: I came home to find Lindsey fucking McDonald of all people in my parking space. I knew that he wasn't about to move, so I parked in an empty one near by,and got out of the car. I walked over to his truck. What the hell are you doing here?! And how the fuck did you even make it into the city without anyone knowing?" I asked all in a slight rush.
Lindsey: "Because I'm just good like that," I said, only answering her second question for the time being. "Working late?"
Lilah: "Yeah you're a regular fucking Houdini, and it's none of your damn business what I was doing, but yes I was working. What the hell are you doing here Lindsey?" I asked him again, really hoping that his being here had nothing to do with Angel, but I know it more than likely does.
Lindsey: "Maybe I enjoy being a Houdini," I joked with her. "Nice scarf, by the way," I said, pointing to the silk scarf around her neck.
Lilah: I just glared at him when he mentioned the scarf. He still hadn't answered my question as to why he was back here, but I guess it's pretty obvious by now. "Please tell me you didn't drive all this way just because your jealous." I told him as I headed for my apartment complex's door.
Lindsey: "No, I didn't drive all this way because I'm jealous," I told her, following her to her apartment's door. "I came all this way to tell you that you're making a mistake if you think this is a good idea."
Lilah: I turned around to look at him. "Like you have any idea what's been going on since you left two years ago." I shot back at him. "And even if you do know, you left so you lost the right to judge anything I do or don't anymore." I pointed out to him as I walked into the lobby and headed for the elevator that would take me up to my apartment.
Lindsey: "That's just it, though, I do know! Do you really think that just because I left, which, by the way, kept your ass alive, that I wouldn't keep up with what was going on?" I followed her through the lobby. "And I'm hoping to stop you from getting yourself killed. It's not my fault that you decided to take up with a damn vampire!"
Lilah: I stopped as I got into the elevator and glared at him. "You left me for a damn vampire whore, and then skipped town when it didn't work out. So you're hardly one to be judging Lindsey." I shot back as the doors started to close. I just want him to go the hell home and leave me to my own damn business.
Lindsey: "No, I skipped town because, if I didn't, I'd be dead for turning on the firm, Lilah," I point out to her. "I left them because they used a friend to give me another hand!" I held up the new hand they had given me. "It actually had nothing to do with you or Darla or anything about that!"
Lilah: "Sure it didn't Lindsey." I shot back as the doors started to close.
Lindsey: I stuck my arm out to catch the elevator doors. "No, it really didn't Lilah. Get over it."
Lilah: I looked at him as his hand caught the doors. "Go home Lindsey."
Lindsey: "Or what?"
Lilah: "I'll tell the firm you're back in town." I shot back it was the first thing I could think of.
Lindsey: "You wouldn't," I reminded her.
Lilah: "And why not?"
Lindsey: "Because the first thing I'd tell them is that you're still having fun time with Angel, and we both know they wouldn't be happy with that."
Lilah: "They know and they don't care." I told him.
Lindsey: "They know you went once for the whole 'let's try and get rid of his soul through sex.' Of course, I could tell HIS friends. Doubt they know." I actually checked. They didn't. "I'm sure they'll be THRILLED to know who their friend is doing now."
Lilah: Okay now he's just not playing fair at all! "You wouldn't dare..."
Lindsey: "Try me."
Lilah: "Screw you!"
Lindsey: "Apparently you've got someone doing that for you already, sweetie."
Lilah: "I hate you."
Lindsey: "You just wish you did," I pointed out to her with a smirk. "See you around Lilah." With that, I pull back my hand, letting the elevator doors shut. Always fun to get in the last word with her.
Lilah: I watched the doors close and leaned back against the wall sighing heavily.
Lindsey: With that, I went back to my truck and headed for my hotel room. I'm not going anywhere until I get her away from that stupid vampire.
Lilah: I walked into my apartment a few moments later and went straight for the liquor.
