World of Warcraft has started a huge event in preparation of the release of the game expansion on Tuesday. A huge dark portal has opened up and demons have begun pouring out of it to launch attacks in various parts of the world.

Apparently Blizzard decided to tip a nod to the Stargate series by naming some of the NPCs similarly.Heehee, the game is

Dr. Daniel Jackspring is already in the game, in the Alliance PVP barracks along with Lt Karter and Guards Hammon and Quine. Commander O'Neal used to be there with them, but he changed from the mount vendor to the level 70 weapons vendor and is currently MIA since Blizzard removed the level 70 PVP vendors this patch. SG-1 hasn't been the same without him. ;)

Hahar, i love the idea of this event to get ppl excited about the expansion.
Although if I get any more excited I won't be able to sleep at night...I can't stand the waiting!

Christmas was Dec. 25th for most people... for me, it's January 16th! (Or whenever my copy of the expansion gets here!)

Did you order from Amazon? I ordered from them, and they claim that it won't be delivered until Jan 18-20. I'm not going to worry about it too much. :D
