I think your hair, along with other aspects of your style, should reflect who you are not who you want to be. If you like the ponytail and the attention it gets you - then keep it. If you think it would misrepresent your new stage in life - cut it off.

Yes, everyone will have their opinions, but what ultimately matters is what's going to make you happy in the mirror at the end of the day.

You could go ike style and cut the hair but experiment with facial hair. I think it's worked pretty well for him.

Yeah, I guess that's one way to go. I did do the beard thing for awhile, I'm not sure I pulled it off as well as Ike does. My facial hair isn't as thick as his, I think.
