ALSO if you're at least talking about Irish Catholics and Protestants, there are a lot of underlying political tensions left over from when religion=state in Europe, so it's hard to just look at it purely in terms of religious tenets.

I am currently in love with The Middleman. As soon as I find a way that it won't take me a billion years to upload the pilot, I'm going to try and pimp my flist into watching it. (And then writing me fic.)

Yeah, I feel the same way - I don't watch live-action TV, so I rarely have anything to comment on with your entries, too. The Middleman is a 12-episode series about an art school graduate who gets a job helping a monster/alien/weird shit hunter save the world. It's geektastic.
