Colour pencils are difficult to handle, I still have a lot to learn.
I'm using watercolour pencils because the texture is more interesting for use in my point of view.
I'm surprised, your quite skilled with carbon pencils, that should be easy for you. I'm pretty sure you'll deal fine with colour pencils with some practice :)
