Am I part of the problem?

So, we are at church for the annual 4th of July celebration. As usual, we take horses and give pony rides. I like being part of the fun and having something to do. However, I get really tired and worn out lifiting fat, blob kids onto horses for hours at a time. I would change the overall policy, personally. There is no reason YOU should be picking up the children to put them on the horse. Your responsibility is the horse, not the child. Seems like the parents should be the ones picking up their child while you handle the horse, or guide the kid's legs over the horse if needed.

That just seems weird that the parents aren't doing it, or at least helping it. I couldn't imagine my parents standing back and not helping with it (unless the person with the horse didn't want the help).
