The morning after

Mar 16, 2009 21:11

Most mornings you might expect to receive a cheery “Hello”, or even a “morning, how was your weekend?” and maybe if you're lucky a “do you want tea or coffee?” I received none of these this morning, instead all I got was “How did you get here?” What...Why? “You’ve got no wheels left on your wagon” Hahaha, some people think they’re so funny.

Ok...I have to admit that I don't get this one either.

The team I’ve chosen to support has managed to loose at home to Chelsea, throw away a two goal lead (with 5 minutes left) to finish 2-2 with Stoke then loose to Man City and another home defeat to Spurs. This after the manager played the reverses in Moscow to concentrate on the league and now with the benefit of hindsight is starting to look like a terrible blunder. The (sporting) press are full of stories like ‘Villa blow it’ and ‘the wheels have come of are wagon’. So my so called colleagues have not wasted any time in ‘taking the piss’ out of my teams misfortunes. Most of them are Blues fans and I can’t complain I would do exactly the same in return.
