Haunted coffee pot

Last night I was walking through the kitchen and I observed that coffee had spilled onto the hotplate of the coffee maker, overflowed onto the counter, and run off the edge, down the cabinet and made a rather large splashy mess on the floor. The wierd part was that the coffee maker had been turned off all day and only a small amount of coffee
