Well, we didn't win...

Clex didn't win in the AfterElton poll. We lost by a mere 38 votes. But! We got 54,930 votes total. We may be oldskool but those of us who remain are quite loyal. That's more than many other popular pairings and winners in other brackets, such as Peter/Neal, Fraser/Kowalski, Angel/Spike, Shawn/Gus, Aragorn/Legolas, Frodo/Sam, Doctor/Jack, Arthur/ ( Read more... )

Not bad for a pairing that's been off the air for 4 years (and which the creators tried to kill a few years before that)!

38 votes though! It hurts! I wish it had been 1 vote per hour from the start (or even one vote per person) - it would be a better measure of how widely a pairing is loved rather than just measuring which fandoms have people rabid enough to vote continuously (or set up bots to do it for them).

Pleased with the number of votes though and 13th place overall. Clex 4eva!

Not too shabby! I wish Clex had been up against a less tough challenger but that's an impressive amount of votes & a very close race.

I was so sad when I saw they didn't make it to round two! They were one of the pairings I wanted to see go on, at least one more round. Oh well, I still love them and was happy to see them there and know that people haven't forgotten Clex <3

I wish I had known it was one vote per hour before the final day of voting.

I cast one vote when I first heard about the poll, thought, "Well, I've done what I can for the boys," and went about my business.

If I'd known it was one vote per hour, I would have been able to make up at least some of the shortfall.

ETA: If I'd thought about it, I could have renewed my mobile wi-fi device for the month and would have been able to stuff the ballot box a little that way, too.

I love the positive way you're looking at it. It really was an impressive showing for a pairing that hasn't been on a show for several years. I voted several times, and kept hoping they'd tip over, but I'm happy with their showing nonetheless.
