Title: Cover for Eucatastrophe by Licia
Pairing none
Rating: G
Artist's Notes: Had a lot of fun doing this! Rather than illustrating any particular scene, I just wanted to hint at the story. Photoshop 7, Wacom tablet, and texture overlay.

Oh my Christ, I am so excited that I can finally comment on this drawing. I love your art--I love your dragons eeeeeee!--and I was beyond thrilled that you picked my story to illustrate ( ... )

You noticed the shoes! :)

Glad you like it. I really enjoyed reading the story (I'll have some more things to say about it at your journal) and coming up with something appropriately interesting. And dismayed!Wilson is the best Wilson.

Wow! This is such a gorgeous picture!! I pretty much fell over when I saw the preview image, and I've been anticipating the full version ever since. : )

I love-- well, so many things about this: the stylized surface of the water, the floating shoelaces, the textures, the dark water, the ghostly, underwatery colors of Wilson and their contrast against the fish. I think my favorite part has to be the shimmery light outline around the fish versus the other plain, dark outlines, though-- it makes the fish really stand out as something magical and otherworldly.

Anyways, just wanted to say that I think you are an amazing artist, and thank you for drawing this!

I love everything about this, from the colors to the expression on Wilson's face. I haven't even had a chance to read the story yet, but I'd totally pick this up if it was a cover I saw at the bookstore.

And I mean "pick up" as in buy, not just, you know, momentarily grab it and put it back.
