Standish's trick.

Dear lady of the equinox,
Do not fire Standish just yet as he is surely fuming with jalousie over the Mechanical Man who is tending to your needs, and he can not compete, being Mortal and Clumsy. Also you are quite right that Mr Tin's arms may well rust clean off if he continues to run your bath-time and as a Most Generous and Charitable Lady you may as well keep on that old Scamp, Standish, rather than flinging him back to the Street Life, whence young men chase round carriages and girls sell their virtue for a hay-penny or a compliment.

oh Lord of Nuncstance, how correct you are! Standish did perform the most delightful trick last-morn, transforming Father's peacock to a posie! Oh, delightful, delightful! I shall clap and clap, and I believe it did bring a smile to the mechanical mouth of Mr. Tin as well! My Standish is much suited better for certain tasks, as his arms shant rust and his motor shant collapse for lack of oil. Yet Mr. Tin will not sulk, oh no, there are plenty of tasks to go 'round. oh, it is a beautiful day!
