"RICHMOND, Va. - Gov. Mark R. Warner granted clemency Tuesday to a convicted killer who would have been the 1,000th person executed in the United States since the Supreme Court reinstated capital punishment in 1976. Oh. Actually, I totally forgot about that. I could probably have done it if I were dressed (because I fail like this), but I'm glad that I am not required. Thanks for the well wishes, and I will probably see you eventually.

Actually, by the time I posted it, it had been corrected and cleared up. Perhaps the most amusing thing is that some random anonymous poster posted to this thread (he has since been removed because I got frustrated not being able to trace his IP farther than Verizon.net) and said that it wasn't an error because, as he understood it, he was being sentenced on two separate counts in two separate pool halls! He then mused questioning as to whether or not he used the same pair of scissors for both attacks!

*facepalm! facepalm, facepalm, facepalm!*
