Hard to believe another year has gone by, just the same as all the ones before it. At my age, one tends to stop recognizing birthdays -- it can be depressing.

I may, however, celebrate with a glass or more of firewhiskey. I suppose I've earned it.

You sound as if we can't? And besides, I'm not such a horrible leader. I make sure every one of my followers feels like family...like one big, loving, pack. Our younger members particularly look up to me like a father figure, fully ready to take them under my wing after their "normal" parents (folks akin to the likes of you) cruelly cast them out of their homes. Soon enough old man, I'll be using your bones as toothpicks.

You should be going back to Hogwarts fairly soon -- I'll know in the next few days as to the exact day, and I regret that I can't tell you at the moment. I believe Andromeda has more of the details right now than I do.

Any owls from me will likely be the next meeting, either for training or just to update us on what you've learned while at Hogwarts (if you hadn't done so already). There's no need to worry; I'm sure you'll all do just fine.
