We've always been a bit leery about going on long weekends to Eastern Europe. Budapest was great, highly recommended, but our fairly-undemanding dietary demands appeared incompatible with the signature dishes of those former outposts of Stalin's empire

Hi Dave,

I clicked your name at the end of the your entry on Anna's memorial blog and it brought me here so hoping this is your blog - anyhow hope this is you - if not sincere apologies.

Just wanted to thank you for your kind message - my mum was Ill for many years with parkinsons and sadly died last summer - it was hard to contact everyone she had known so we missed a fair few.

Thanks also for reading my rather amature stuff on CIF.
