I loved this chapter, it was such a great expansion of events, and I always thought that if they had kissed and deepened the connection between them before Elle betrayed him, it would make the betrayal so much more poignant, which you really showed here. I loved the foreshadowing to the showdown at Primatech. I can't wait to see where you go next.

You know, I've always felt the same way, hence the kiss here. I'm really having fun writing what I've always inferred might have happened between the lines. There was just something about that look Gabriel gives Elle over that dish of baked ziti that screams they've kissed before and he's eager to kiss her again.

I'm really happy that people seems to be enjoying this fic. I have a feeling that it is going to turn into this epic piece. Thank you for the lovely comment.

I really liked how this chapter went. I know you were struggling with the Sunday date, but I thought it was very natural and fit it with what happened in canon. I definitely am looking forward to your interpretation of what happened that is more behind the scenes (events between this and well, S3 I guess haha).

I can't guarantee any sort of erm, timeliness, but I'd be willing to beta the next chapter for you if you want :) I can't give any long term commitment (I have a lot of holiday knitting to do, haha) but I can definitely check out the next one for you. My email is my lj username @gmail.com :)

Sorry to disappoint you with canon, but I'm glad that you liked it anyway.

I have tons of plot bunnies running around in my head as we speak (and repopulating at a rate that makes me think all I'm ever gonna do it write Sylar/Elle fic for the rest of my natural born life), so there will be some AU shininess in the future.

You didn't disappoint me , its just that canon breaks my shipper heart :( :( . I feel so sad for both of them :(

Can't wait for the AU part XD

Canon occasionally breaks my heart as well. But I think the show did a decent job of at least being true to Sylar. The hopeless romantic in me feels otherwise.

The AU part is going to be the very end of this saga, but there will be some AU little side fics. I think I'm probably going to have a hard time writing the Canfield house stuff, so I'm planning on writing an AU one-shot piece as a warm-up exercise.

I just read all the chapters in one go and, wow, I was literally on the edge of my seat for the entire fic. I’m still coming down from the rush. This entire chapter I was saying “no, no, no,” but the characters wouldn’t listen to me and I couldn’t tear my eyes away as fate played out.

I never particularly liked the Elle/Sylar flashback in Heroes - I felt like they were trying to force Elle into a plotline that would have been better suited Eden and it screwed up Elle’s characterization irreversibly in the process - but you made it work. You show the change from the snarky, sociopathic girl we knew to the broken woman who cares for Gabriel Gray. It’s amazing what a few added scenes can do. It was heartbreaking to see what should have happened that night torn away by the assignment.

And, oh, the jelly glasses. Just the jelly glasses. And she gets more for Trevor to destroy. That just stabs at me. That was some great symbolism going on there. I could just ramble on about this. It’s amazing. You must write more.

Thank you so much! Your comments made me blush.

I loved the jelly glasses too. I always felt that Gabriel had spent time making things perfect for their evening, only to have Trevor mess it all up with his ability. I'm glad you liked that part :D
