I am so with you on those 2 shows.
On American Idol the finalists every year look alike! Gorgeous talented girls like Bri never get far because they offer SUBSTANCE!

As for The Swan it's just another typical american bullshit corporate craphole. "Pretty girls get further than the ugly ones, but never fear if you're ugly rather than using your intelligence and wit to get somewhere, just get plastic surgery!"
And people wonder why so many girls have image problems.

i actually liked watching american idol in the beginning when all the people were interesting, even the ones who were bad were entertaining and funny. but the finalists are boring!
