My CD Walkman just died. I mean, sort of. I paid extra for the all-weather jogging Walkman because I figured that would come in handy for power commuting on public transportation. I absolutely love my iPod. Well, iPods. I have 4 if you count my iPhone. It's a long story involving inheriting from George when he died, L giving me a teeny little shuffle he got for free from Apple last Yule, etc. Anyway, they are fantastic. Very easy to use. Reliable. If you buy the right case, you don't have to worry about it breaking. I'm very hard on my electronics, and, with the cases I have, I have never broken one.
