25 years of Manliness

Today marks the 25th anniversary of my bar mitzvah.

I suppose this calls for some sort of interspection, but the first thing that came to mind what I asked myself about the meaning of this is:
Why aren't bar mitzvah anniversaries celebrated, or even noted? We make this huge frickin' deal about the ceremony, it happens and then that's it.

I already wished you Mazel Tov and all that, but are you serious about the 2nd Bar Mitzvah at 83? I have never heard that before, and you are clearly more Jewish than I am, but I thought I would have heard about that.
Or else you are making the whole thing up. In which case, good one.

The theory is that a person is supposed to live 70 years. If you live 83 years, that's 13 years into your second lifetime.

congrats! i don't think i knew that you're jewish.

i suppose we don't celebrate bar mitvah anniversaries since they accompany birthdays (usually) so in a sense every time you celebrate your bday you're celebrating your bar mitzvah too.
