First off, call me back, you big jerk. (kidding about the jerk part, I'm bugging you because you told me to be persistant.)
Secondly, I know much more about what you're talking about, both in regards to the god-awful 'what are you gonna do with that/happiness > money dilemma' and the split-world issue.
I know exactly what I want to do, to the letter, for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, I also woudl like to eat and have a family and a home...It's hard to reconcile the two.
And split-world is crazy. I feel like I'm time-travelling between two different 'me's and two different, well, times and places. It's nice to have a soft place to fall, but we grow so accustomed to the worlds we create for ourselves that it's hard to come back here without feeling like a child or like we're regressing or something.
I think that the way through it is to find a way to be comfortable with both, have neither existence be threatened by the other.
Then again, I'm at work and very bored.
