Found a copy of Ramona Forever by Beverly Cleary in my bookcase, and was struck by the perfect hilarity of the following passage:

"Poor us. Ramona included Howie and Willa Jean in her pity as she wished that someday, just once, she too could sit on an accordion. She knew she never would..."

sometimes in ukie village there's this old man that just sits and plays accordion on the corner. he doesn't even collect money or anything. it's awesome.
