First week of work

And what a week it was...actually it was quite calm, as almost all the attorneys on my team have been on vacation all week (court is in recess until the 19th of August), so I have had very little to do so far. The trials at the ICTY are VERY LONG, so I will be working on the same case from now until the end of my internship. I am on one of the

Yay for the bike!!

I agree the Dutch are on the right track. Unfortunately, I don't think the trend will catch on in the US. If we all biked to work, then we wouldn't be tired enough to purchase $4 organic, soy, Hazelnut lattés with extra foam from Starbucks when we got there. The automobile lobby would be up-in-arms, too. Our individualistic, consumerist nature as Americans requires us to drive everywhere. ;-)

(I'm gearing myself up for a attempt at not shopping once I have my apartment set up. Home brewed coffee + library card + bike = healthier, not-so-impoverished Scrub.)
