Your future is not your past. You're past was an experiment, you have the results, use it to decide what you're future will be. :) This is true every day, and every single day we get a chance to turn it all around.

Best of luck, sweetie! *Hugs*

I've always seen alcohol as a crutch, the problem was that I was too stubborn to give it up, despite its negative effects on my mind - Every panic attack I've ever had was when I was intoxicated. Alcohol brings out that raging asshole in me: the man I never wish to become.

I've gotta get sobered up.

AA dude.

REasons?

1) confidentiality, the help you get will be kept between you and them.
2) Success: they do have a high success rate.
3) Support: You won't have to do it alone, and you'll get to meet other people who are in or have been in your mental place. People who just get it.
4) It's free, not like Rehab.
5) Knowing you're not alone in your mistake/circumstances, actually subjectively seeing it, not just knowledge in your head, lets you forgive yourself for past mistakes in a way trying alone never quite works.

Need any more reasons? *Huggles*

Whatever you do, I hope you do well, and find what you need inside yourself to learn to be happy.

I'm not to the point where I know I'll need to attend it, I just need to separate myself from the cause of the problem - in this case, the only reason I drink is because Aaron likes to party. I rarely, if ever, buy alcohol for myself. The only time I drink is when we have groups of friends over, and I've been wanting to party less and less lately, especially since I'm manic-depressive; a lot of things have been triggering outbursts lately.
