Company of Heroes has entered Open beta, you need a free membership at www.fileplanet.com and it's a 1.6 gig download. It unfortunately is a WW2 rts but it's also really really good. Anyone with an interest in RTS gaming should download it. You do however need a good PC to run it and am very much considering upgrading my PC mainly so I can run it

Damn, but Fileplanet is a horrible website. Still, will d/l it at some point, if nothing else to try to stress my shiny new graphics card.

(I had to fill in my computer's specs. There was no OS option for "Windows Vista".)

apparently it runs badly in windows vista atm (someone tested it), although they promise it's going to be DX10 optemised eventually.

There seems to be a lot of variability in people's Vista experiences. I've seen between about 0-10% performance drop in games, which could just be the additional background load from the bloatier OS. But in any case I'm dua-booting.
