I just got off the phone with the vet. Salem's got kidney disease. We were waiting to see if we could get her blood work to improve with increasing her water intake alone, but it's not enough. I am meeting with the vet on Monday to pick up special food and learn how to administer subcutaneous fluids. With treatment, her lifespan need not be

darla and salem are females. moody, rex, and panda are males. I know this and I still call them boy and girl interchangeably. whoops!
