Herb garden help wanted

Help!!! I have a three pot planter that I'd like to use for herbs. But, I can't decide on which three things to plant! I absolutely will be growing basil, but what should I plant for the other two? I'm also considering buying this planter, which has 5 sections and also comes with the seeds.

rosemary!!! That's a must-have for us. And it smells really nice. or basil?

Here are my two cents: Based on what we use most for cooking, I'd recommend basil, rosemary, and chives. If I could have five, I'd add mint (very useful for Pimms cups in the summertime) and coriander.

If you can splurge or if space permits, lemon verbena is fantastic, but it grows big and rangy a lot of the time, which isn't ideal for pots or planters. Dill would be very good, if we could grow it here, but I don't know how much water it needs. Lavendar is lovely, though I have no experience using it fresh. And if you can get some roquette, it's well worth it, especially the wild varieties that are a bit piquant.
