Is it possible I was just smarter 10 yrs ago?

I read my decade old thesis paper, on German Expressionist Wassily Kandinsky & non-objective abstraction, last night. My god it was good. Amazing even. Why do I feel like I have done nothing by lose brain cells in the last 10 years

I love Kandinsky...what job were you been doing that killed all your brain cells? I know you're getting your masters in education now, right?

Lord, right there with ya. I'm like, I used to be SMART and could do calculus (I hated it, but I could do it). Now I'm like, 8 times 9? Uh ... I need a calculator. And I feel like I've lost all my creativity in writing.

Getting older sucks.
