Save for a few movies/television shows I've grown up with or have recently gotten into (examples would include: The Simpsons, The Goonies, Slings and Arrows, Labryinth etc.) I done really "geek out" about a lot of fads.
That being said, I am damned frustrated with how long it is taking me to finish this book. All I want to do is be done, and last night I was faced with the choice of whether to go to bed and be somewhat refreshed for work (seeing as how my sleep pattern is all messed up from this damn book) or chug through the last 260 pages. And right now I'm sitting here finished with my work and nothing else to do until I get my Friday project (which doesn't usually come till around 4:30) when I could be sitting at home up in my attic with half a sandwich reading by candlelight because the storm knocked out the power (Never Ending Story, that's the one I forgot!...).
I think I'm also worried that what happened with the last book is going to happen again with this. It took me forever to not only acquire a copy for myself (somehow ending up with
crosschap 's, which I still have to this day, by the by if he's out there) but also to read it, that by the time I finished it I figured out the ending by what everyone was hinting at. I might have even done it again inadvertently with tis one the way everyone is going on about it.
*****************************SPOILER ALERT******************************
I also want to find out how much of a sick basted J.K. Rowling is. She kills off Hedwig, Mad Eye and Dobby? HE WASN'T EVEN IN IT FOR MORE THAN TWO OR THREE PAGES, AND THE BITCH KILLED HIM OFF!!!!!!! I will admit that I teared a bit at the part of Dobby's grave stone, I won't lie. There's no point in lying in this entry, I'm pretty much giving myself away.
And what the fuck is the deal with Snape being such a fucktard!?! So far non of
rhiannononon 's theories about him are holding up (through no fault of her own, I just always wish for happy endings), and I'm gonna be very upset if he turns out to be an ass.
I'll probably cry my heart out when I finish it either tonight or tomorrow. As I said, I want a happy ending, and it doesn't seem likely unfortunatly. When I heard about the one of the suggestions for titles of this book should be Happy Potter and The Year Where No One Tried To Kill Him, I actually wanted it to be true, purely for a happy ending.
God, I'm such a dork.
