House for sale

Feb 19, 2010 21:47

House ad here. For some reason they don't think that someone will want to pay $1.65 million to live here...

I guess we'll see how long this takes. Tomorrow is devoted to house hunting. Sunday afternoon will be cleaning/throwing out junk.

Hilariously we have a rent inspection on Thursday.

Not up to that stage yet, but almost certainly in the near future. I'm hoping that I can avoid moving twice but that depends on various settlement dates and whether we get kicked out immediately on sale.

It is for both sides of the duplex, but it is still, as you say, a lot.

If you get the chance, tell Chas and Dave to respond to my SMS from yesterday.

I have just passed on the message.

I know it's nedlands, but still.

Have you decided what you are doing yet? I didn't comment on your last post because I didn't really know what to say, but I would be sad if you moved to Canberra. More fangirls deserting the nest! etc ...er, not that you should take that as an attempt to emotionally blackmail you or anything ^^;

Thanks for that.

I am still not making any decisions, after tomorrow I may have a better idea of what I want to do.

Your reaction is pretty typical from my friends - it's not like we won't stay in touch through the internet but I know that things can't be the same.

They've got to be presuming that that is block value. I can't see the duplexes themselves having much if any value in Nedlands.

My family's 5 bed 2 large lounge plus dining room (but only 1 bathroom) with beautiful access to sunlight (in a really nice suburb in Auckland, so sunlight is highly sought), and polished native timber floorboards from protected trees was knocked over to build I think 3 townhouses.

Then the recession hit and the block is still completely empty after a year.

The house just wasn't ~nice~ enough and it took up too much space on the block.
