ooph. i am so glad the drama of elections is over. both had stances on specific issues that i agreed with, and so it was hard to ever really be 100% sold on either candidate. i am very excited to see what happens with health care, and more specifically with women's contraception - if it will become covered by insurance or not. here's to hoping it ( Read more... )

ugh. it makes me sick and annoyed, too. ry was especially upset by people swearing and stuff on facebook. in my opinion, NOTHING is more important than missionary work. NOTHING. that's why i'm very careful what i say on fb. i would never say "everyone's voting for romney because he's mormon" because i would be suggesting that mormons aren't smart. i would never say "someone said something hilarious or inappropriate or what not in testimony meeting" because my fb list isn't straight mormon. i couldn't deal with the guilt of making the church look bad. no way. that's why the other day when i said stop verbally abusing your friends on Fb...even though the only people i've seen do it are republicans, i didn't point that finger because then my non-mormon friends outside utah might think, "oh, well, she must know a lot of rude mormons" etc ( ... )

i hear you, 100%. oi. hopefully it didn't do much damage to the missionary opportunities that could have (and have) developed.... :/
