So I've had my G1 for a looooong time. The reason I never went for my G2 was because we didn't want to start paying insurance when I don't drive often and I don't have a car. Also, I didn't want to get my G2 until I went to driving school so I would have proper instruction and a discount on insurance.

Eh. My dad was a bit thrown off at first but we're dealing.

Sometimes in difficult situations things turn out in your favour, even if you can't see it at the time. It's sort of happened to me before, like when I didn't go back to school after high school and I rediscovered Due South. A weird example, but hey :D

I got my first beginner's license at 17yrs of age in high school but didn't pass the test given by the high school to let me pass the course. I had no confidence in myself behind the wheel nor a vehicle to practice on at home (dad drove a van and was VERY judgemental) So, I ended up letting the beginners license lapse. There was no G1/G2 licensing at the time ( ... )
