iPod or a Portable DVD player?

Can't decide, but want to make the purchase this weekend.

I'm heading up to Portland tomorrow for the weekend to hang out and play in a racquetball tournament. Then on Monday I'm flying to Michigan for three weeks, thus the need for some electronic entertainment device.

The iPod is usable in more situations than the DVD player...

I you have a dvd burner you could burn 4g of mp3s onto a dvd disc and then listen to them if you want, or watch a dvd. Be sure to check to see that the dvd player can play dvds with mp3 files on them before you buy one though.

I have a 20g iPod and wouldnt trade it for a dvd player. Only because I like my music more than my movies.

Yeah. I have a 40g and listen to it more than I watch DVDs on my laptop...

That's the thing. If you have a laptop, you don't need a portable DVD player...
