Loved it. Loved the helicpoter scene, which is not in the book. Love the book. agoraphiliac had some interesting things to say about it last year. Satantango is also great beyond words.

satantango is amazing ... naturally, it's the more complete of the two. i tried to explain it to a friend, to explain how its final situation is laid out so painstakingly, and then the long "coda" with the character descriptions ....

but then, i saw it last year and i don't need to see it again just yet.

I thought it was gorgeous-looking and sad and chilling and funny in some parts and thoughtful.

see even dwarfs started small. it's a perfect companion piece.
