I was driving on the interstate, and a couple of tin cans fell off of the recycling truck in front of me. One hit my windshield, the other one hit the hood of my car. I almost died. There is a big scrape up the hood of my car.
I am glad to hear that you survived. I'll raise a glass to the memory of the unblemished car hood, I'll never have the chance to meet.
Did you have a chance to swerve or did it happen quickly? Was your body's only response the increased heart rate, blood pounded through your ears, and palms slickened with sweat?
I curse in the car. not so much as at other points in my life, but there is some cursing.
