Anxiety

Oct 01, 2007 12:57

I really need to learn to not panic about things when I no longer have control over them. It does nothing for me, and often may work against me. now all I have to do is actually relax instead of "pretending" to relax.

:(

work, anxiety

Yeah, I've learned the valuable lesson that when doing something like a DJ night or a website or whatever, there comes a certain point where you've done all you can do, and now it's up to other people whether they'll come along or not, be that show up or buy your stuff or whatever.

i panic about EVERYTHING work-related when it doesn't seem like it's going the right way. i've also learned to, basically, not speak my mind. it just ain't worth it in the work place unless you really feel that people will listen and not decide to make your life hell.

all in all, a review is just that- a review. it can seem like it's the biggest thing in the world (especially when it has to do with a raise or something like that), but it's basically just a time to go over stuff. and if your boss brings up...the thing that a little braun birdie brought up to me...all you can really do is suck it up a little bit, give your side without being defensive, and move on. it's hard to do (you and i are of a similar anxious breed, my dear), but it's the best, for both your sanity and your blood pressure.

miss you. :) ben played prophets and it still filled the dance floor. how cool is that shit?

Yeah...Prophets of the New Chochie has become pretty popular around these here parts. It's been a regular part of my rotation. I was talking about that track to someone last night, and they were all like, "I love that track", and I was all like "Dude!" and then he was like, "Dude!". It was pretty sweet.

Easier said than done. I deal with that a lot, but it's true. All you can do is do everything you can and know that you've done what's in your power to do.

Just got to remember that we get caught up a lot of things that ultimately, in the grand scheme of things, aren't as important as we let them become.
