I kinda hate looking for a job. I need to get an internship for next summer at a hospital and so I'm dusting off the resume and I'm going to go drop it off at some hospitals in the area. It makes it harder that the closest hospital pharmacy is run by a friend of my father's. Which you would think would make it easier, but I really don't want to

Not knowing the man in person, this is a completely generic statement. I dont think you should worry too much about putting him in an awkward position. If he's even slightly professional then he wont feel obligated to hire you just because you are the daughter of a friend. So unless you arent qualified for the position you shouldnt worry about it. Having a contact in the field you are going into (even remotely) is considered a good thing by most people ;)
