Today I am amazed at how much Caleb has grown in the past few weeks. He has really become a "little person."
Recent accomplishments:
He can put together puzzles (I'm talking children's wooden puzzles here)- or at least he can put the pieces in the right spots. He doesn't have the dexterity to quite get the shapes together and instead likes to bang the peices on the board.
He understands 70-80% of what I am saying and can follow directions: Bring your chair over here and I'll read to you. Lay down so I can give you a change. Sit in my lap and we'll read a book.
He knows what he wants and can communicate that to me. If he is fussing all I have to do is say, "What do you want?" and he stops fussing and tries to tell me. Sometimes it takes me a time or two, but we get it figured out.
He knows that the tiger in his book is the same as the toy tiger is the same as the tiger on the wall. It's pretty amazing.
He knows where things go and if you say to put something away he will do so.
He knows the word "walk" and will immediately go get his shoes.
He knows when I am about to leave and starts fussing before I get to the door.
I only have 9 school days left!! I have a lot to do, but summer is coming so soon... and I start my new job next Tuesday... AND my sister offered to babysit tonight, so Andy and I are going to go on a much needed date, so it is not all work and no play. :)
