LJ has been conspiring against me all morning by giving me a 503 error screen with that &$@! goat every time I've tried to leave a comment on your excellent fic. Victory, at last!

This story is beautifully done. I loved the pace and the absolute plausibility of the development of the healing between Mary and Matthew. I also thought you pulled off the use of present tense very well (it can sound so awkward in less skillful hands). I would quote some of my favorite bits back at you or reference specific parts, but that would require leaving the screen I'm currently on, and I don't want to tempt the 503 gods :)

I definitely needed this hopeful, realistic, healing M/M fic today.

Thank you for coming back and trying so hard to comment. I really appreciate it. And I'm glad you thought my use of the present tense worked well, I always know it is tricky but it seems my default setting for writing.

Again thank you so much for commenting especially with all of the 503 shit that was happening yesterday.

I'd been wanting to read this in the morning but lj was being incredibly testy. I'm happy that I read it in the evening however as it made up for a completely craptastic day. This was a gorgeous piece and I hope that you'll be writing more.

Absolutely lovely. I love the slow and easy way they found their ways back to each other--simply gorgeous. And heart-melting inducing, too.
