Ah, I really liked this one.

That totally captures Charlie.

I'm so glad you think I have a good Dani voice, as I find her so hard (though really fun) to write for, so I'm really happy I managed to get it.

This is lovely. Of course Dani would runaway at first, of course they'll try to pretend it didn't happen and I love that 'I can't promise' line and the unspoken 'I'll try.'

And Charlie's patient way and how he understands her and that he isn't pushing, that he's willing to watch and wait and let it be her decision.

The red light of the camera in the corner he'd gotten partially to satisfy her, and partially for fun, blinks, watching, waiting.

Hey. Look at that!

that the fact that the warmth in her chest is something akin to happiness probably makes her quite insane.

I'm really glad you liked it. And I am happy you commented on the last line as I kind of got a happy feeling while writing it. And your cameras are most definitely making two more appearances.
