Well, not exactly. More like a recommendation. Uh, make that an order.

You MUST see Revengers Tragedy and, no, the lack of an apostrophe is not a mistake, sadie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0286921/

I just recently bought it. Now, this alone is a big deal as I rarely buy videos/dvds/whatever-the-media-is-that-fills-this-ecological-niche-these-days. ( Read more... )

ok, now, that movie looks way too violent for me. Honestly, I avoid violent films with certain exceptions (I go see comic book movies, star trek, LOTR, and star wars (though star wars is bullshit)). From the trailer it looks like a very bloody film, is it?

Parts are. But, it isn't gratuitous ... well, given that it is a Jacobean Revenge Play.

Actually, there are a bunch of things that Cox could have been graphic about and he definately didn't.

Damn. I really think you would find Walker fascinating, but although most is not, there are some really gory scenes.

Shit, sadie, I really think these are amazing films and I'm not telling you to watch Peckinpah!

aw I'm sorry!

I lost my violence sensitization, and I think that's a very good thing so I'm not trying to get it back. sci-fi and comic book violence are usually not very believable, and even that is usually a bit of a push for me. Violence done well really fucks me up, so I avoid it.

I love cult films! Yes, Mr Cox's work is awesome. Sid and Nancy actually is one of my fave films, not to mention I love the old (real) punk bands such as the Sex Pistols.

I am definitely going to have to see this movie, not only because of Cox, but I love Chris Eccleson. He's probably along with Alfred Molina my fave British actor. Eddie Izzard isn't shabby himself, but I adore Chris. I've seen nearly all of his work. (And imo, he's been the best Dr Who since Tom Baker as well). I also shamefully admit in a childhood delight he is going to be playing Destro (one of the villains) in the G.I. Joe movie this summer. *_*

This trailer intrigues me, I will see if I can hunt this movie down.
