My, my. I haven't written since before that joke of a therapy session, have I? Shame, shame on me. And with all that's been going on! ... actually, that hasn't been too much, save for a few personal little tidbits that I think I'll keep to myself, for now ( Read more... )

Phoenix...ooooh, I see what you did there. Burn.

Oooh, Aahnruhd equipment? So that's what he got you. Mr. P.'s the man! He sent me those Hazelnut Castle candy-things that are, like, super popular in Cohdopia--these things are like crack! I gotta remember to write him a big ol' thank-you note.

I'll take you on. Gimme five minutes and I'll be there!

Will you now! This should be fun.

Bring that candy of yours? I may have to sneak one of those from you, if you wouldn't mind.

On my way!

I've got a better idea, we can bet shares of it on the game! Whoever wins gets the most!

But that would mean I'd end up with all your candy! Not that I'm complaining, but I might feel guilty.

I'm so glad the balls arrived safely, Mr. Portsman, and I do hope you and your fellow prisoners will enjoy playing with them.

However, though I am sure you're very skilled, please do be careful. We recently had an incident at the embassy wherein an organ was damaged by one of the balls.

I'm sure we'll have a blast, Mr. Palaeno. Always nice to find new ways to pass the time around here.

My my. Those balls are a bit heavier than they look, aren't they? Thanks for the heads up, but I'll do my best not to damage any organs here in the yard!

That's wonderful to hear! I'm glad I could be of help. From what I've read on the matter, it seems important to keep prisoners engaged and provide them with many opportunities for physical activities, to curb aggression and reduce undesirable behavior among the inmate population.

Oh yes, they're rather heavy balls. A pipe was actually dented in the accident. I think we'll have to consult a specialist.

I guess it is a good way to vent some energy during the day! Some people get really competitive, but that makes it more interesting, especially with the crowd around here.

Dented a pipe, huh? Geez, that guy must be pretty incapacitated.

It's good to hear I'm not the only one who thought that therapy session was a bad joke. Though as jokes go, it was certainly a lot funnier than your Phoenix pun.

I'm from Chicago, myself.

As for aahnrühd, I'm curious about the game after hearing about it from the ambassador. Maybe I'll give it a try.

Oh come now, I was just in mixing in a little legal humor. Lighten up a bit!

I'm game to play if you are! Meet me in the yard, we can throw a few shots and see what happens. Maybe it'll get you in better spirits!

Have you ever noticed how saying "lighten up" is often the first recourse of the unfunny? Just something I've observed over the years.

But I might take you up on that offer all the same. I could use a change of pace.

Sorry, would you have preferred "widen your sense of humor"? Or maybe "if you don't like it, then keep your trap shut"?

That being said, I'm looking forward to seeing you for a game!

You're lucky they didn't consider those balls contraband, pal. They can inflict real damage...trust me, I know first hand!

So I've heard, from our dear Ambassador! I can't say I'm surprised, given your reputation with sports.

I'd imagine pipe organs cost a pretty penny. Will that be coming out of your paycheck, too?

The Ambassador is a super nice guy. He probably figured I wouldn't be able to pay it off.

I just hope Mr. Edgeworth doesn't find out...

I didn't catch the game, but I did hear about it from my nurse. She was pretty happy!

I'd rather play than watch though. We could have that game you wanted this week, if you're up for it - since I'm back from my treatment. Let me know. You'll probably see me in the weight room. I missed being able to lift while I was gone.

Yeah, I'd be up for that! I'll see if I can't catch you in the weight room sometime this week. I'm there fairly often myself, after all.
