Welcome to the Olympic Mini Big Bang Challenge!

The Olympics may be drawing to a close in less than 24 hours, but it doesn't mean that the party has to end. What's the Olympic Mini Big Bang challenge, you ask? To put it simply - it's a big bang challenge for our favourite Olympic pairings on a smaller scale. It's a place where writers and artists ( Read more... )

A couple questions before I run over and sign up like a crazy person.

1) Can we sign up for more than one mini bb?

2) If the athlete in question was on the Olympic team in the past would that still qualify them? (i.e. hockey players from the 2006 games)

I think that's all my questions...

Hiya!

1) Yes, you can sign up for more than one mini bb. Just comment each sign up separately (if you already know the BBs you wanna work with), so I have a better idea of how many artists we'll need at the end!

2) Yep, definitely. All past Olympians are fair game!

TY for your questions, btw...I need to go add those somewhere in the post!

Is three okay? I know if they're only 5k each I can totally do three. :-)

Awesome.

No problems. I figured I had to ask 'cause I saw this and went :-O I have to sign up! then I had a crisis when I couldn't decide between three pairings. I know two for sure I'm signing up with. but the third I'd love to sign up with but if I can only do two, that's okay.

Can't help but love Ry, ya know?

Three's fine :). The minimum word count is pretty small, so I understand if writers want to write more than one mini bangs.

Looking forward to seeing your third pick!

Okay, so. October 15th I have to turn in a draft of what I've got going so far. But the finished product isn't due until November 15th.

Obv I signed up for writing, but the piece can just be whatever I want it to be? There's no guideline/limits??

I'd prefer if the draft is mostly finished by Oct 15, but really, as long as you have the minimum word count by then, you're good to go! You don't have to have the finished product until posting starts in November, you're right :).

And yep, it can be anything you want! No limits, really. As long as it's 5K words min and features Olympians, it's all fair game. No upper limit on the word count, either.

Looking forward to your stuff!

I'm new to this fandom so I was wondering if there'd be any post to point us in the direction of a beta? :)

Hi! Sorry for the late reply - I got swamped over the holiday weekend XD. I'll definitely be making a beta sign up post as well as a resource post sometime either this weekend or early next week, so stay tuned for that!
