I can understand not wanting to have anything to do with the Internet for a while -- though in my case it was due to a nervous breakdown forced by academic pressure, not a busy schedule per se.

I'm sorry to hear that, but you've always kept such a busy schedule with such high expectations--and pressure--of yourself that I can't say I'm surprise. (Especially since the internet isn't always a leisure activity for you!) But I still hope you're doing okay?

Nowhere particularly special. Everything's much the same as it was when we last talked, only cranked up to eleven in some parts. :p

I should have expected it as well, but I kept pushing myself hard, because that's what I was always taught to do -- be the best you can be, don't let others step ahead of you easily, bring home only maximum scores. It ended up completely overwhelming me, so I've relaxed a bit academically -- not to the point where my grades really suffer, but enough that I'm not wrecking my nerves in the process.

I'm doing about as well as can be expected in the present circumstances. What about you? I was beginning to feel rather worried when you didn't show up for a while -- and then boom, the car accident post. Thank gods you're alright.

Honestly, that sounds like a good place to be. I believe that if you only put in 80% effort you would still do wonderfully, but if you're working as hard as you can without doing more than it is healthy for you to do, than that is good enough. I can't talk much since I've become quite a slacker recently, but I don't think it is healthy to more than you can. Eventually, you'll break. Or just become really sick.

Eh, that was a bit dramatic, I think. I actually felt kind of bad about it, like I might have worried some people, but I also thought, "who really cares?" In any case, I'm pretty much in the same place you are. I really let go off my grades in the last semester of school, so I ended up with a 4.0 instead of a 4.2--which, mind you, is actually quite bad because I almost got a C+ in Economics. I just managed to do well on the final, a term paper as it were, because I actually had a good amount to say on the ideas expressed on capital in Manifesto of the Communist Party (I sat down and
